Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. 
As you are aware, the war against 419, has reached a critical phase, with the recent successful conclusion of the trial of the world's biggest advance fee fraud case, involving the sum of $242m from a Brazilian bank.

The OFT and its law enforcement partners in Benin Republic are warning consumers to be wary of unsolicited e-mails asking for help in moving large sums of money in exchange for a share of the spoils.
EFCC recovers and returns $4.48m to 86 year old Hong Kong woman
 
ImageAn 86-year-old woman, Juliana Ching, was on 26th September 2005 presented a cheque of USD 4.481,909.94m in Hong Kong, by EFCC Chairman, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu. 

The money is part of recovered funds from a fictitious transaction initiated by one Basil Nkenchor, a Benin Republic, purporting to be Alhaji Ibrahim Abba, Group Managing Director of the Benin Republic National Petroleum Corporation, (BNPC), sometime in June, 1995.
